I was reading an article in Cosmo and thought you all would find it helpful, so I decided to do a post about it. The article was on how to look amazing on Skype with tips from pro makeup artist Pati Dubroff. I think these tips would also be great for Youtubers and Beauty Bloggers. <3
Tip #1- " Glow on": "Webcam pixilation can make skin appear dull and lifeless, so use an illuminating foundation." Cosmo says use Lancome Teint Miracle $39, I say for a cheaper alternative use Revlon Photoready $10.99 with a Beauty Blender to create that dewy effect. Or try any BB cream you might already own.
Tip #2- "Don't over-hue it": "Some computer screens oversaturate colors (meaning anything highly pigmented can have clownlike effects). Choose sheer blushes and lip tints."
Cosmo says use Urban Decay's cheek tint in Crush $24 for cheeks, I say use NYX rouge cream blush $5, or NYX stick blush also $5.
For Lips Cosmo says to use Covergirl Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm $7.50, I say use my HOLY GRAIL Revlon lip butter for around the same price.
Tip #3- "Go Au Nature"l: "Artificial overhead lighting casts not-so-cute shadows under your eyes. Place your laptop next to a sunny window- natural light is far more flattering."
