Hello, is there anybody out there?

If anyone is still following me, I've been on a 5+ year hiatus....I quick blogging (and a little youtube) to focus on family. In that time I've also had another baby, so that added to the fun ;) I'll be revamping or maybe even starting fresh, posting about numerous topics that appeal to myself (and hopefully you too) such as cooking, beauty, history, books, movies etc. If you follow me on instagram, you'll know what I'm talking about. Swap with Sara from Slovenia!

Back in April I did a swap with the beautiful Sara over at Passing Fancy. I absolutely adore her and her amazing blog! And I love her even more being as how we are both Slovenian girls! ;) tehe
 I have a ton more pictures over on my Instagram for you to check out also. I can't figure out how to get them over here, can't you tell I'm such a techie?! lol

We decided to make it Easter themed, since we did the swap in early April. So, I sent her all my favorite Easter candy including Cadbury mini eggs (I die!), Peeps, Pez, and even a little box of Hello Kitty Jelly Belly's! :) I really wanted my Mac Candy Yum-Yum to go to somebody that would really appreciate her beauty. I knew that she loved bright lippies so I sent it over here way. She also wanted wanted to try the new Revlon laquer balm and Nyx butter gloss too. I also sent her a Sonia Kashuk cream blush, Wet n wild Reserve your Cabbana, some Wet n' wild eyeshadows and some more bits and bobs.

Sara on the other hand totally spoiled me and sent me 2 boxes full of makeup, candy, and bath&body products!! I was so surprised with all the great things she sent me! All I really wanted originally was the Alverde blush in the shade Apricot and the Labello peach lip balm. But to my surprise she sent me an asortment of Alverde, Catrice, and Manhattan! But wait we're not even to the best part yet!! lol
She also surprised me with a Clarins instant light lip perfector and a bar of LUSH soap, both of which I had never tried so I was so excited!! :D
Then she sent me a ton of candy from Slovenia and even included chocolates for my two little boys which was so sweet of her, I felt like I wanted to cry! The best chocolates I might add were the Milka hazelnut filled chocolate eggs (OMG Delicious!) and Gorenjka truffles were amazing! Mmm my mouth is watering just thinking about them.  She also sent a sweet little card and decorated the box so cute with stickers and confetti.

Zoya Muse and Stassi. I combined them both for a nice turquoise color. I was trying to get the color as close to Zuza as I could, because I don't have that shade. I started with 2 coats of Stassi and went in with 1 coat of Muse over my accent nail.

MAC Stereo Rose & Comparable Dupes

MAC Stereo Rose from A Fantasy of Flowers collection 2014.

Broken Stereo Rose from Ebay.

I dropped it on my bathroom floor only the day after I got it in the mail as a birthday present from my Dad. :(

As you can see the top swatch is pinker whereas the bottom swatch has more of an orange undertone.

I think when I where them, I like the shade of the Ebay Stereo Rose a lot more. I love the coral shade and it's a lot more pigmented. When I try on my new Stereo Rose it's not as pigmented and kind of just gives a nice sheen, but I have to apply a couple of layers for the color to show up.

Now let's compare these MSF's to the Milani Baked Blushes....

Ebay Stereo Rose compared to Milani Rose D' Oro. 

Rose D'oro has a bit more of a burnt copper/red tone to it.

Top to bottom:

Luminoso, Fantasy of Flowers Stereo Rose, Rose D' Oro, Ebay Stereo Rose

As you can see, the Rose d'oro is more similar to the ebay msf because it has more orange in it.

Luminoso is more similar to the new MSF in color. Only it does not have the same sheen to it or gold veining throughout. Overall, I'd say these are similar shades but not exactly the same. I don't have anything with the same beautiful sheen that these Stereo Rose msf's give.

Smith & Vandiver Peppermint & Tangerine Soothing Foot Soak

 I just had to share this foot soak with you guys, it is so good!  My Mom first gave me one of these, because she loved it so much. Now I'm addicted! I want to find this brand around me, but it's not sold in any of the stores here. In Oregon it is sold in Fred Meyer's. It smells so good when you open up the little packet.
The peppermint makes your feet tingle and feel minty fresh! Afterwards my feet are so silky smooth.

First fill a basin with warm water, and pour the packet into the tub.

Dip those puppies in and soak your feet for 5 minutes or longer, I usually do for about 10-15 minutes.

To get rid of any dry skin scrub with a pumice stone, rinse, then have a towel nearby to dry.

Slather on some foot cream and go to town with a fresh polish!

Please tell me if you have ever tried anything from this brand, or another foot soak that you like! :)

My Super Bowl Nails!

Decided to wear Seattle Seahawks colors yesterday for the Super Bowl, and guess what they won!

The silver color is Zoya Seraphina and the blue is Zoya Neve! Took this picture in the car on the way to watch the game, so I didn't get any bottle shots sorry!

Christmas just wouldn't be the same without the smell of a real tree!

What are your favorite things about December?

Everything! My son's birthday is in December, Christmas music, decorating, wrapping presents, shopping, baking, and sitting in front of the fireplace with the Christmas tree lights in the backround!

What's your favorite color scheme for decorating the tree?

I came up with my own theme and the best way I can describe it is " Candyland Glam."
It's very colorful and it involves lollipops and rhinestones! :)
But next year I really want to do Woodland Critters.

Perfume: Victoria's Secret Angel
Candle:  Right now it's Pumpkin cheesecake, but I also love red velvet cupcake.

Do you like to stay in your PJs or dress up for Christmas?

Well I dress up on Christmas Eve and we all stay up dancing and drinking until midnight, and then the next day I probably have a hangover so I'll be in my PJs all day! lol

What are you hoping Santa brings you?

Favorite Pink Drugstore Lippies

Nothing brightens up my day more than a pink lippy, can anyone else say this or am I the only girl? It's just something about it that is happy and cheerful about these colors, that makes me feel good. Today I could not stop thinking about my Uncle that just passed away a few days ago, and I needed to feel better so I broke out my little drawer full of lippies and had at them. As I was trying to decide which one to go for, I decided I would swatch them  to help me in my decision......leading me to this post!
